Greg has more than 25 years of sales and sales management experience working with startups and Fortune 50 companies alike. He honed his expertise within various industries, including medical devices, technology, and commercial insurance.
In Oct 2017, Greg and his wife Cara welcomed their first child, Jack, and Greg began rethinking his priorities. Becoming a dad a little later in life, he recognized that he wanted the scheduling and financial freedom to invest as much time into his growing family as possible. Hence, he decided to start his sales consulting business to accomplish that. Since then, Millie joined the clan in Nov 2020 has only reaffirmed that priority.
Cobalts Sales Elements’ mission is to help non-selling professionals (lawyers, accountants, and engineers) become competent and confident business developers. The objective is 3-fold:
- Help professionals work with the type of client they want;
- Perform the kind of client work that energizes them;
- Successfully bill that work at a price they believe it’s worth.
Ultimately this leads to having the freedom they need to invest in who they value most.
Early in his career, Greg was recognized as a sales leader as he made his way into the medical device industry and started as a sales representative. Within his first 18 months, he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager. He tackled a host of projects that included testing and reporting on the introduction of various new medical products as part of his pioneering role. He spearheaded an entire specialty area to grow and manage due to his ability to successfully develop new markets within the endoscopy division. He took that experience to other medical device companies and oversaw both sales and independent distribution networks. During his tenure, he produced a 48% increase in company sales in one year.
Greg has mastered the art of creating a successful sales-driven organization and possesses a keen grasp on what salespeople need to reach new plateaus in their ongoing selling efforts. He has adeptly hired, trained, and managed sales teams small and large.
